Free Flower Show & Quilt Display
The Dallas Garden Club, the Salem Area Garden Club and the Grow and Show Garden Club, also from Salem, comprise the Capitol District of the Oregon State Federation of Garden Clubs. Together, they will be hosting their free Annual Flower Show and Quilt Display on Saturday, September 18th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the gym at the Evangelical Bible Church, 1175 SE Howe Street in Dallas.
The Flower Show will be a judged event and will include floral designs, horticulture and vegetable and fruit displays to showcase “The Bounty of Oregon.” Quilts of various designs and eras will be exhibited around the gym and attendees will be asked to cast their vote for the “People’s Choice” award in both the Floral and Quilt categories.
All who attend will also be given an opportunity to enter a drawing for a free door prize. Incentives for the event entries and for the door prize have been donated by Frey’s Dahlias, Grandma’s Attic and the Old Mill Feed & Garden Store. Gretchen McKane (503.851.7320) is the event chair. This is guaranteed to be a “don’t miss it” event!
