DESCRIPTION:Early registration starts January 30! \nWhether you’re new to gardening\, seasoned\nhorticulturist\, or want to learn the latest in sustainable\ngardening practices\, you’ll enjoy attending. \n37th Whidbey Gardening Workshop \nSaturday\, March 21\, 2026\n8 a.m. – 4 p.m.\nOak Harbor High School\, Oak Harbor\, WA\nIn-person classes – Hands-on learning – Demos\nSomething for every gardener\nSustainable techniques for growing local food \nThis year’s theme focuses on improving individual and community health and wellbeing by applying sustainable techniques for growing your own fruits\, vegetables\, and herbs\, and transitioning to locally sourced food. \nWe are also offering our usual variety of classes on garden maintenance and design\, ornamental plants\, gardening in a time of climate change\, native plants\, microclimates\, and much more! \nHalf the classes offered this year are new\, including mixing veggies into perennial gardens\, roots and rare fruits\, winter sowing and propagation\, hügelkultur\, exploring a windswept forest\, futurescaping\, resilient yards and ecosystems. \nThere will also be Make-n-Take classes\, bookstore and book signing\, free gardening demonstrations\, and opportunity to speak with Master Gardeners.
