Hello, Gardeners and Garden Friends,
What happens in our gardens after the sun goes down?
The Linn County Master Gardener Association’s Pollinator Project invites you to join us for “Whispers of the Night Garden”
This year, we’re turning our attention to the fascinating night shift of the pollinator world — the moths, bats, insects, and plants that do their work after dark.
“Whispers of the Night Garden”
Saturday, August 29, 2026 | 10:30 am–4:00 pm
Lebanon Senior Center | 80 Tangent Street, Lebanon, Oregon
Tickets: $25
We have a wonderful lineup of speakers and topics:
- David Kollen, Xerces Society Ambassador — Nocturnal Pollinators
- Leah Puhlman, OSU Master Gardener — The Garden of Nocturnal Delights
- Dana Ross, Entomologist — Moths and the Siskiyou Crest Moth Project
- Dr. Thomas Rodhouse — Oregon Bats
You’ll hear the latest research, discover practical ways to make your own garden more welcoming to nighttime pollinators, have opportunities to ask questions, and visit with local vendors and nonprofit organizations.
We will have our friends from Shonnard’s Nursery with ideas and plants for creating a night garden of your own!
We are also raffling a new bat house and a plant to start your Moon Garden!
